More variety when it comes to the eggs. More options for proteins. Salad that isn't always kale. I'm happy that we have breakfast. I just wish it didn't feel like the same thing every day.Created about 5 years ago

Being new to Pivotal, the breakfast perk is really incredible. The chefs we have are very creative while trying to include classic staples. I really appreciate fresh greens and fruit in the morning, and even though others have complained, bring on the Kale! I'm sure it's incredibly difficult to please so many people every day, and with that in mind, I suppose those suggestions for variety are spot on. Seems like some scrambles are much more popular than others, (sausage & cheese vs salmon), so maybe half-size bins for those less popular scrambles and half-size bins for the plain scrambled eggs, which do seem to have an odd texture even though they are real eggs. I love the addition of clever greens like clover and sorrel, and those special touches can go under-appreciated. I could stand for less salt in the salads, however. Melon is cheap and plentiful, so it makes sense for the base of fruit salads, but not if everyone is against those poor melons! More proteins and specialty tastes like the chia pudding and mushroom gravy would be most appreciated! Keep up the great work and keep trying new things!Created about 5 years ago

I agree that the fruit salads are melon heavy (and always pretty much the same) and I am not a melon fan. Toronto did a whole table full of fresh fruits so you could put together what you like... let's see more strawberry, blueberry, orange, kiwi, papaya, mango, apple, pineapple, blackberries, etc - variety!! I would eat fruit and yogurt a lot for breakfast if the fruit salads were actually good! Specialty breakfast smoothies would be awesome to just be able to pour and try new flavours & combos that might be beyond a blender bottle (like juiced stuff like wheatgrass, ginger, etc) - that might be pushing the prep time and expense though... I also agree that there should be more veggie options, and the veggie options should parallel the meat options - veggie sausage, bacon, chorizo, crumbles, un-chicken (like Quorn), etc. The biscuits and (veggie) gravy were good, and the bean burritos. Beans at breakfast are good. And home fries or hashbrowns are great. I still don't understand why we have packaged bagels when we live in NYC. Good bagels and quality fresh bread (not gooey packaged supermarket stuff) are awesome at breakfast. Love the scones and muffins - they do tend toward desserty/sugary and run out right quick though. The eggs are pretty yucky - wet and runny and weird, both scrambled & fried. The oatmeal is pretty boring. Maybe try some other hot cereals? I feel like most mornings the options are wet weird scrambled eggs & heavy oatmeal.... as others have said, variety, variety, variety (and options). I'm generally not in a mood for raw kale salad first thing in the AM, though I'm sure they are nice salads. Steamed or sauteed dark greens would be a great side to have once in a while. To variety and options!Created about 5 years ago

I rarely choose items to eat because of various reasons: 1) the eggs are very gross, I don't understand why they are so whipped, 2) a preponderance of sweet breads and other pastries are not compelling to me, 3) a SEVERE lack of meat and protien products (any meat that is there is consumed right away, and you can't take more than a small piece to leave enough for others). The good parts: 1) the fruit, 2) when they do have meat.Created about 5 years ago

Absolutely outstanding breakfast today -- this is what we need more of. Scrambled eggs as a staple is boring - they are very creative cooks so we should let them do what they do best. (plus one from my pair)Created about 5 years ago

I like that breakfast always has some staples (eggs, oatmeal, fruit salad) and some variety (scones, tacos, bacon, sausage etc). I'd love to know where our eggs, meats and fish come from (Are they local? Organic? From which farms?). A more varied fruit salad would be nice. Created about 5 years ago

More variety, perhaps european continental style: pastries, cold meats, cheeses and nice breads from time to time.Created about 5 years ago

Love the speciality breakfasts like tacos, and egg Benedict. Would love to see that more often.Created about 5 years ago

Love the salad, but would like more variety, and not always with kale. Perhaps spinach or chard instead. I also enjoyed the dressing we used to have like the ginger-soy, perhaps on the side if not everyone wants it mixed in.Created about 5 years ago

I don't eat breakfast every day; when I do I am usually hitting the scrambled eggs hard because that's the best fit for my diet. I'd be keen to keep them as a staple.Created about 5 years ago

I've noticed an overall problem with the doneness of food (i.e. eggs, rice).Created about 5 years ago

I'd love more variety—as we seem to get about once a week (Friday?). Breakfast burritos? More breakfast sandwiches? Tacos? Chilaquiles? That one day we had eggs benedict was amazing. Past that: The egg salad is pretty good. The salad is always nice. Oatmeal is... oatmeal. And, yeah, as others have said the fruit salad tends to be melon-heavy.Created about 5 years ago

Would love to see the chia pudding / cashew cream pudding return, it was my favorite. Would also love to see more variety in the fruit -- berries would be great. Would also love to see either more vegetables in the salads or roasted vegetables as a side (carrots, parsnips, beets, turnips, etc, etc).Created about 5 years ago

The quality and quantity of food has really gone down. The SF breakfast is always fresher, larger, and higher quality. The fruit salad has been really poor, and not very fresh. I appreciate the salad but there's never enough. I question the menu choices like scrambled eggs + eggs over easy + salmon eggs (which are gross). I'd encourage the team to commit to a fewer choices that are tastier. The breakfast tacos are great, we never get enough of them. The breakfast meat isn't well prepared (usually greasy and undercooked) and runs out quickly. I'd love to know how our breakfast budget (per head) compares to SF, because they either have a much better deal or are spending a ton more money on breakfast.Created about 5 years ago

Variety of fruit (more pineapple! berries!), different types of salad (its always the kale one). Cream of wheat or other options other than oatmeal. Vegetables as sides (cooked carrots, Brussels sprouts, broccoli) Eggs with other vegetables - asparagus, spinach, peppers. Potatoes have good taste but aren't fully cooked sometimes. More bacon. When we have it, we run out super fast and we don't have it very often. Variety is great, but for a lot of people, breakfast is part of a routine. I'm not usually up for an adventure with my breakfast, so it's nice to have some more classic options on the days where Carla and Brian are feeling creativeCreated about 5 years ago

The fruit salad could use a shake up. Mostly melon. The scones rule. Maybe double those since they disappear in a second! Overall it's a great breakfast :)Created about 5 years ago

I'd love to see more vegetarian non-oatmeal options; and frankly, less kale in the salads. Otherwise, I quite like the current set-up -- It's still much better than what we had at 841 Broadway.Created about 5 years ago

1) it's getting boring. SF has more variety, can Carla and Brian have access to their menu for inspiration? 2) the cold brew coffee is always out. Can we increase our order? 3) I miss bagels and lox—it was a nice break from the routineCreated about 5 years ago

There used to be lots more variety - Carla and Brian really had some great recipes but now we seem to get the same thing every day: scrambled eggs. Bring back the tacos and meat biscuits please! Also different fruits like strawberries and blueberries - less rockmelon.Created about 5 years ago

It is the same fruit every single day, can we mix it up and get some berries, or two different fruit bowls?Created about 5 years ago

The variety is lacking, it would be great if there were more sides or things to add to the eggs like cheese, guacamole, salsa, beans, etc, just other things than always plain eggs.Created about 5 years ago
